Funeral services for Joe Luzio, 81, of Homer, Nebraska, who died May 22, 1986 at his home, were held Wednesday, May 28 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer.

The Rev. Ray J. Miller officiated and burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.

He was a life long resident of Dakota County where he farmed until retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer.

He married Rachel A. Shroder August 25, 1941 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. She died February 18, 1971.

Preceding him in death were his wife, parents John and Mary Luzio and a son-in-law, Mark Raymond of Blair.

Survivors include one son Leon Ray Luzio of Chicago, Illinois; and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth A. Raymond of Blair and Mrs. William (JoAnn) Mueller of Kimball; and five grandchildren, Krista and Joe Luzio, Tara and Alisa Mueller and Joshua Raymond.
