She was known for her sugar cookies and popcorn balls at Christmastime. She is best remembered for the Christmas stockings that she knit (a total of 1,998) and for the quilts that she hand-quilted (a total of more than 200 large quilts and 45 small quilts). She helped the “Happy Quilters” group with their quilting and also tied quilts on “Love Days” at First Lutheran Church.

For years, she lived on the farm north of Blair, moving to Crowell Home’s Assisted Living Facility in August, 2000. She celebrated her 100th birthday with a family celebration at the Lippincott farm in June.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Henrietta Lippincott, and R.J. (Dick) and Ruth Lippincott of Blair; 16 nieces and nephews; 48 great-nieces and nephews; and 34 great-great-nieces and nephews.
