DIED - - At her home in Cuming City township on Monday, Feb. 5th, 1894, Mrs. Mildred T. Lippincott, wife of Joshua C. Lippincott, Esq., in the 77th year of her age. We were unable to learn anything more than the above and owing to the severe affliction of the family, (we) could only find that the funeral would occur this p.m. Mrs. Lippincott was one of the few remaining old settlers of Cuming City township and with her husband and family has been identified with the best interests of the county from a very early day. She was a native of Virginia and a sister to Jas. Wood, of the city of Danville, that state. Her family of sons and daughters now reside in northeastern Neb., most of them in the vicinity of Blair. If possible to do so, we will give a more extended sketch in her memory next week.

Mrs. Mildred T. Lippincott, wife of J. C. Lippincott and mother of our townsman, T. C. Lippincott, died at her home in Cuming City on Monday last, Feb. 5 in the 77th year of her age. She came to this county in its early days and was well known and universally beloved. The funeral services were from the residence by Rev. Talbott of the Episcopal church yesterday, and her remains were lovingly consigned to mother earth in the Blair cemetery.

Monday while in Blair I met Sam Warrick who informed me Mrs. Lippincott died that morning. Thus one by one the old settlers are passing over the river of time and it won’t be long until all that came to Washington county in the fifties will be gone.

Mrs. J. R. Cantlin returned to her home at North Bend on Thursday, after the burial of her mother, Mrs. Lippincott. Her aged father will make his home with her.
