Ernest F. Luttig, 75, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at his home in Blair. Private memorial services are planned.

Ernest Francis "Bud" Luttig was born June 6, 1929 in Fort Calhoun to Carl and Edna (Smith) Luttig. He attended school in Fort Calhoun.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1946, and was discharged in 1951, after serving in the Korean War. He owned and operated the Food King grocery store, located on 33rd and California streets in Omaha.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Luttig of York, Robert Bryan and Corey Luttig, all of Omaha; daughters Kimberly Munk of Logan, Iowa, and Cheri Luttig of Blair; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, William J. Luttig.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Luttig; grandson, Justin Luttig; and a sister, Jean Frohling.

Memorials are suggested to the family, 12377 Rose Drive, Blair, NE 68008.
