SERVICES FOR FRANK HEADY TO BE FRIDAY

BENEFIT FUND ESTABLISHED TO HELP PAY BILLS.

Services for 53 year old Frank Heady, of Herman, will be held on Friday, March 10th. Mr. Heady passed away following a lengthy illness and many weeks in hospital. Mr. Heady died at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha on Monday, March 6th.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the First Methodist Church in Herman, Nebraska with the Reverend Zach Kleinsasser officiating and Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Mr. Heady was born at Champion, Nebraska on April 17, 1918. He is survived by his wife, Enid, who lives in Herman and teaches school in Blair.

Other survivors include a son, Richard, of Dannebrog, Nebraska, Andrew of Herman who is attending college in Omaha and working in Omaha. Mrs. Wm. Pennell of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Sarah of Walthill, Nebraska.

Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Mr. Heady had been employed by the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and more recently was in the real estate sales business.

A Memorial Benefit Fund has been established to aid the Heady family with the large medical expenses accumulated during Mr. Heady’s illness. Bills totaling nearly $10,000.00 have been accumulated without any insurance funds to take care of them.

Rev. Zach Kleinsasser, of the Herman Federated Church, has volunteered to handle the Benefit Fund. Donations may be sent to the Herman Federated Church for the fund.

HERMAN RESIDENT DIED LAST WEEK

Funeral services were held for Richard Franklin Heady, a resident of Herman since 1969.

The deceased was born at Champion, Nebraska April 17, 1918. He grew up in Chase County. He spent most of his life farming and ranching at Champion, Nebraska, in Colorado and at Mullen, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife and four children. The children are Mrs. William Pennell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Richard of Dannebrog, Nebraska; Andrew, a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Sarah Annette, of Walthill, Nebraska.

He was active in many civic affairs. He helped organize Farm Bureau locals, Soil Conservation districts, watershed districts, rural fire districts, and R.E.A. Telephone districts. He was a long-time Mason and had transferred his membership to Landmark Lodge No. 222 at Herman.

Besides his wife and children he is survived by two brothers and five sisters, none of whom live in this area.
