Word has been received of the death of Everett L. Heikes, 76, of Cornelius, Oregon, on January 11, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of Minnie Heikes of Blair and the late Charles Heikes.
His father and an infant brother preceded him in death.
Surviving besides his mother are three sisters of Blair; Iona (Mrs. Lyle Stern), Evelyn (Mrs. Al Brazil) and Rayoma (Mrs. Kermit Andrews).
Also surviving is his wife, Violet; one son, Dwayne and his wife, Glenda, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of Cornelius, Oregon.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, Oregon on January 16.
