Dean E. Heinssen, 64, of Blair, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Dean Edward Heinssen was born Feb. 10, 1941, in rural Herman to John and Thelma (Flake) Heinssen. He attended Gardner Elementary School and graduated from Blair High School. He worked for Snowco for 25 years, and owned and operated several bars, and the former Chili Pepper restaurant in Blair.

He was baptized in the St. John’s Lutheran Church at Vacoma and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. He had a great love of cats.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Mark Arnold, Lori and Fred Townsend, all of Omaha, Sheila Heinssen of Blair; three grandchildren and his best friend/caregiver, Kelly Medlin of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jacqueline; and brother, Wayne.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
