Services for Thelma Heinssen, age 73 of Blair, who died at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair January 22, 1991 after a lengthy illness will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church will Rev. Daniel Ritter officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Thelma Flake was born on March 8, 1917 near the Vacoma area, to Edward and Augusta Hass Flake. She attended the Vacoma Grade School.

On July 28, 1940 she married John E. Heinssen at Fremont, Nebraska. Thelma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Guild, Hillside Extension Club, Royal Neighbors and the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and one son Wayne.

Surviving her in death is one son Dean of Crescent, Iowa; three grandchildren, Shelley Arnold and Lori Heinssen, both of Omaha and Sheila Heinssen, Blair; one great-grandson, Rich Arnold, Omaha; one sister, Lorraine (Mrs. Jack) Wachter, Herman, Nebraska and one brother Darrell Flake, Herman.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
