Funeral services for Dr. Wayne J. Heinssen will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair with Rev. Daniel Ritter officiating.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Arnold, Fredrick Heinssen, Fredrick Heinssen, Jr., Gary Wachter, Tom Wachter and Ronald Whitehead.

He was born in Kennard February 23, 1942 to John E. and Thelma (Flake) Heinssen.

Wayne graduated from Gardner School, Blair High School in 1960, and from Concordia College in Seward. He taught at Lutheran High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Later, he received his medical degree from the University of Illinois, and took his residency at Charleston, West Virginia.

He practiced medicine as an OBGYN in Dallas, Texas, for the last four years.

Survivors include mother Thelma Heinssen of Blair and brother Dean Heinssen of Crescent, Iowa.

Memorials may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair or Cross of Christ Church in DeSoto, Texas.

Arrangements are being handled by Campbell Funeral Home.
