Surgery Tech at Clarkson Hospital

Dolly Thompson, 83, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Memorial Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Dolly Alice Eledge was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Roy and Hazel (Evans) Eledge. She graduated from Tech High School in Omaha in 1945.

On September 14, 1946, she married Paul Thompson. Mrs. Thompson worked at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha as a surgery technician for 19 years.

She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.

She is survived by seven children; Paul Jr. and Karen Thompson of Missouri Valley, Linda Fitch, Pat and Lana Thompson, Connie and Byron Petersen, and Margaret and Shawn Reeh, and Donald Thompson, all of Blair, Steve and Sangdow Thompson of Temecula, Calif., 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Eledge of Kansas City, Kan., two sisters, Wanda Leming of David City, and Cathy Eledge of Avendale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in 1996; sister, Mary; brothers, John and Jim Eledge; grandson, Jason Thompson, and infant granddaughter, Connie Sue Fitch.

Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
