Services for Rev. Carl Hellmann, 88, of Danville, Illinois and formerly of Arlington, who died September 29, 1990 at his home, were Monday, October 1, 1990 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery in Danville.

Carl Hellmann was born February 25, 1902 in Falls City. He graduated from St. Paul’s College in Concordia, Missouri in 1926.

He served in Lusk, Wyoming; Keeline, Wyoming; Crawford, Harrison and Beemer for seven years and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington for 23 years until his retirement in August, 1970. He then moved to Danville, Illinois. He conducted weekly services as Lutheran visitation pastor at the Veterans Affairs Medical center there.

He married Phillipine Segedin June 23, 1929 in St. Louis. She survives.

Others survivors include a daughter, Helen Schendel of Danville; a brother, Fred of Howe, Indiana; a sister, Minnie Vollmer of Falls City; and four grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the church.

Sunset Funeral Home in Danville was in charge of arrangements.
