Betty A. Helm, 75, of Nashville, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the home of her daughter.

Funeral services were Monday, May 22, at First Lutheran Church in Blair with interment in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Betty Ann (Barritt) Helm was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Omaha to Albert and Katherine (Evans) Barritt. She attended Omaha schools.

She had lived in Nashville for several years where she raised her family. Her great joy in life was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting, and was a member of the Betty Club in Blair.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Frieda Helm of Nashville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Ken Kaiser of Nashville and Debra and Keith Ahrens of Blair; four grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Speeter of Omaha and Helen and Leo Hineline of Grand Island; and special friend William “Bill” Bennett of Fort Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association of Alopecia Areata Foundation.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Calhoun.

Services 10:30am, Monday, First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial in Ft. Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation starts 10am Sun. with family receiving friends from 5-7pm.
