Yvonne L. Rosenbaum, 92 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont. Yvonne was born August 22, 1923 in Dodge, Nebraska to Herman and Cecelia (Peterson) Furstenau.

She grew up in Scribner and was a 1941 graduate of Scribner High School. She attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont and received a teaching certificate. She taught in Snyder for a short time.

Yvonne married Donald Rosenbaum on December 13, 1944 in Kennard, Nebraska. They lived in Blair, Nebraska and she taught in Kennard, Nebraska. They moved to Fremont and she began working at A&A Drug and worked there until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church and the Outreach Committee, women’s church circle group, bunko group, and Red Hat Society. She was also a member of Parents without Partners and Golden Oldies Group. She loved her flowers, especially, African Violets, watching Wheel of Fortune, playing Wheel of Fortune slot machines, spending time with her family and traveling.

She is survived by son, Daniel Rosenbaum of Fremont; daughters, Donna and husband, Mike Denton of West Point, Nebraska and Diane and husband, Dave Olson of Fremont; sisters, Sharon Allen of Blair and Sherry Pruss of California; and brother, David Furstenau of West Virginia; grandchildren, Nolan (Amber) Rosenbaum, Blake Denton, Mindy Olson, Annie (Ross) Denison, Steve (Laura) Denton; Shawn (David) Adair, and Trisha Kramer; and great grandchildren, Landon Olson, Lyndsay Sorrick, Abigail Adair, Alexandria Adair, Nick Adair and Kylie Kramer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald in 1983; brothers, Dorsey Furstenau and Duane Furstenau.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont.

The Rev. Russell McDowell will officiate. Visitation with family receiving friends will be Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue Tuesday one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
