Michael Dean Ryan, 59, of Lincoln, NE, died peacefully on June 22 after an 18-year battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by father, William Dean Ryan. Survived by mother, Donnadean Ryan of Mesa, AZ; sister, Cynthia Doht, brother-in-law John Doht, niece Lindsey Cosentino, nephew John Ryan Doht of Webster Groves, MO; his Oklahoma bride of 33 years, Marcie Ryan; children, William and Bailey Ryan; daughter-in-law, Chelsea Ryan; other family members and friends.

He always served others, starting his career as the youngest nursing home administrator in Nebraska at age 24. For the past twelve years he has served as Administrator of The Gathering Place Soup Kitchen. His dedication to others was never ending.

Memorial Service: Monday, June 27 at 11am, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd. , Lincoln. Celebration to follow at Wilderness Ridge, 1800 Wilderness Woods Pl.

Memorials should be directed to the family who will distribute them to Michael's favorite causes.
