Services for John Delos Lurvey, Sr., 86 of Alliance, Nebraska, who died July 31, 1996 were Monday, August 5 at the United Methodist Church in Alliance. Burial was in the Alliance Cemetery.

John Delos Lurvey, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Loreen; a brother and two sisters.

He is survived by children and their spouses, Georgia and William Ernst, Denver; Betty and Gary Sup, Omaha; John Lurvey, Jr., Chadron; Debra Allison, Kansas City; sisters and brothers, Helene Andrews, Blair; Lillian Thieman, Anne Waldeck, Lloyd Lurvey of Omaha; Sue Turnquist, Gothenburg, Nebraska and Herb Lurvey, Bennington; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Alliance Senior Center.
