Robert Hundahl Was Major Donor To Black Elk Park

Robert Hundahl, well known Tekamah man who died late last week, was known to many in this area. He also had an intense interest in Washington County, as evidenced by the fact that he recently became a major donor to the “Tower of the Four Winds” fund of the Black Elk-Neihardt Park which is being developed in Blair.

Mr. Hundahl, since the first of the year, gave a crib of corn, containing about 2000 bushels, to the park. The corn was sold, bringing $4500 which was added to the contributions which have been made for the tower which is to be built on top of the hill in the park west of the Dana campus.

Mr. Hundahl, at his death, was 52 years of age. He was survived by his wife, Lillian, of Tekamah, and by sons Earnest C. Hundahl, of Houston, Texas; Mark E. Hundahl , of Dallas; and Scott A. Hundahl, Eric Robert Hundahl and a daughter, Heidi, all of Cambridge. Also surviving are a granddaughter, a brother, Jack Hundahl of Dallas and his mother, Rose Hundahl, also of Dallas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Tekamah and burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery. Mr. Hundahl was an extensive landowner and farm operator in the area north of Tekamah.
