Elizabeth Joanne Campbell age 94, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Joanne was born December 3, 1921 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Floyd and Neva (VanHorn) Hunter. Joanne graduated from High School in Pulaski, Iowa. She married Roy A. Campbell, Jr. March 2, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star. Joanne enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Roy passed away February 28, 1995.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Campbell, Jr., grandson Van Allan Campbell, and brothers, Donald and Jack Hunter.

Survivors include her two sons: David and wife Connie, Lee and his friend Jamie Wilke all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, five granddaughters: Melodi Szymczak of Omaha, Nebraska, Lori Murphy of Modale, Iowa, Michelle Alvarez of San Diego, California; Carmon Campbell and Abigail Campbell of Papillion, Nebraska; great-grandchildren: Morgan Szymczak, Anthony Murphy, Jessica Murphy, Dylan Murphy, Emerson Campbell and Presley Campbell; sister, Joy Burton of Bloomfield, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service at the cemetery.
