Harold A. Barton, 92

Harold A. Barton, 92 years, of Valley, Nebraska died Friday, July 29, 2016, at Methodist Women’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Harold was born June 26, 1924, in Arlington, Nebraska to Arthur and Anna (Stinnard) Barton.

He was a 1942 graduate of Arlington High School and attended Milford Trade School. He farmed at Arlington until his marriage to Patricia F. Moravec on May 17, 1959, in Fremont, Nebraska. She preceded him in death July 18, 1962. He lived in Fremont, Nebraska from 1959 to 1962. He was a milkman for Richee Dairy in Fremont. He owned Frontier Gas & Service Station. He worked at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant at Mead, Nebraska and moved back to Arlington to farm and then worked at Consolidated Blenders at Fremont for sixteen years until 1992. In 2006, he moved to Stanton Towers in Fremont. Since 2014, he had been a resident of Val Haven Nursing Home. He was a lifelong member the Arlington Community Church and attended the Over 60 Center in Arlington.

He is survived by daughter, Lanett, and husband, Kevin Keller, of Omaha; grandchildren, Luke and Megan Keller; brother, Robert, and wife, Doris Barton, of Fremont; special friend, Kathleen Danner, of Fremont; and niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia.

A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Pastor Shirley Schmidt will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Arlington Community Church.
