MRS. HANS HANSEN OF HERMAN IS DEAD

SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR WOMAN WHO DIED IN BLAIR HOSPITAL

Mrs. Hans A. Hansen, 56, of Herman, ill three weeks, died last Thursday night in Blair at Court View hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Herman with Irving Tange of Trinity seminary, Blair, officiating, and burial was in Thone cemetery.

Mrs. Hansen, as Mary Hansen, daughter of the late Frederick and Ellen Hansen, was born near Herman April 4, 1882. She was baptized the same year as a member of the Danish Lutheran church, and when 14 years old was confirmed in Blair. She was a member of Hill Creek Lutheran church.

She was married April 2, 1900, to Hans A. Hansen, also of Herman. To them were born three children. The family had always resided in and near herman with the exception of 14 years at Tekamah.

Surviving Mrs. Hansen are her husband; two sons, Elmer and Alfred; and a daughter, Hilda. All live at Herman. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Emma Richardson, and a brother, Albert Hansen, both of whom reside in Omaha.

Mary Hansen, daughter of Fredrick and Ellen Hansen, was born near Herman April 4, 1882. She was baptized at the Lars Petersen home west of Herman by Rev. Larson of Blair, and was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church at Blair at the age of 14. April 2, 1900 she was united in marriage to Hans Hansen, also of Herman, and they have made their home in or near Herman since then, with the exception of fourteen years in Tekamah. To this union were born three children.

After an illness of three weeks she passed away at the Blair hospital at 11:30 September 15 at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 11 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing the husband and three children, Elmer, Hilda and Albert, one brother, Albert Hansen and one sister, Mrs. Emma Richardson, both of Omaha. She was a member of the Hill Creek Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid society of that church.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Baptist church in Herman, Irving Lange of Blair officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. Harley Rogert, Fred Robertson and C. R. Gray with Miss Louise Larson at the piano. Interment was made in the Thone cemetery.
