EULALIA LOFTIS, 87

Services for Eulalia Loftis, 87 of Blair who died at Memorial Community Hospital June 28, 1995 were Saturday, July 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Eulalia Loftis was born December 8, 1907 at rural Herman to Leroy and Flossie Ives Montgomery. On January 2, 1929 she married Freeman Loftis at Red Oak, Iowa.

They lived in Herman, Tekamah, Omaha, Kennard and Blair.

She started a doll collection in 1965 and was a member of the Barbie and Heirloom Doll Club in Omaha. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband in February, 1992; her parents; foster parents, Fred and Mary Andersen; two sisters, Estella Baty and Dorothy Hovendick and a half-brother, Elmer Montgomery.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Lela Loftis of Blair and Lyle and Beverly Loftis of Pahrump, Nevada; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Ryder of Omaha; three foster children, Mary Nelson and Shirley Barnes, both of Omaha and Norma Easdale of Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Montgomery, Portland, Oregon and a brother-in-law, Chester Hovendick of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
