FRANCES WHITE LOFTIS, 80

Funeral Services for Frances White, 80, who died April 15, 1990 at Good Shepherd Home after a lengthy illness will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Blair Cemetery, Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Prayer Services will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frances was born March 23, 1910 at Walthill, Nebraska to William H. Plummer and Pearl Belle Stillman. She grew up in Walthill, graduating from Walthill High School in 1929.

The same year she married H. Glen White August 5 at Sioux City, Iowa.

They lived in Lyons, Nebraska until 1935, then moved to Silver City, Iowa. They moved to Blair in 1949, where she resided until her death.

Frances worked for the Kolterman Ben Franklin Store for 32 years.

She married Leonard L. Loftis in 1984. He died in June, 1989.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, having recently completed a Genesis to Revelation Bible Study Class. She was also a member of the Rebeccas, Eagles Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors. She was also a member of Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, H. Glen White and Leonard L. Loftis; one brother and two sisters, one of whom was an identical twin.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-laws, Mary and Lyle Treded of Carson, Iowa; Darlene and Harland Safley of Blair; and Rhea and Richard Brummer of Omaha; stepchildren, Mary Helen Launer of Omaha; Betty Finch of Casper, Wyoming; Barbara Loftis of Blair; Ruth Nelson of Arlington; Thomas Loftis of Long Beach, California; Leonard Loftis Jr. of Herman; Alan Loftis of Seward, Nebraska; and Earl Chamberlain of Nebraska City, Nebraska. Ten grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; a brother, Wallace Plummer of Lincoln; one sister Evelyn Myers of Everett, Washington and a stepmother, Alice Plummer of Walthill.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
