Ethel E. Jarosz, 86, of Blair, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, July 7, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Ethel E. Chrippen was born March 28, 1924, in Rosalie, to Tom and Ella (Bacon) Chrippen. She graduated from Rosalie High School and attended the Omaha Beauty School.

On Oct. 20, 1943, she married Tedaus "Ted" Jarosz in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mrs. Jarosz was a cook at the Blair Community Schools for 20 years.

She was a member and past president of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Women, and American Legion Auxiliary, member of the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary, Blood Mobile and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Pat Jessen and Mary and Phil Kempcke, all of Blair, Tom and Sonja Jarosz of Modale, Iowa, John and Cheryl Jarosz of Omaha; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Sid; sisters, Jeanne, Hazel; brother-in-law, Zig; and sister-in-law, Joann.

She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
