SERVICES FOR MRS. LOFTIS TO BE THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Congregational church in Arlington for Mrs. Floyd Loftis, 57 years of age, of Arlington, who died Monday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after a lingering illness.

The Rev. Robert Krause will officiate at the services with interment in Herman Cemetery.

Mrs. Loftis is survived by her husband; two sons, Rev. Marlon Loftis of Plainview and Rev. Eugene Loftis of Stanton; three daughters, Mrs. Roy Trotter of Osceola, Mrs. LaVerne Schmidt of Arlington and Mrs. LeRoy Hass of Snyder; three sisters, Mrs. Naomi French of Nogales, Ark., Mrs. Margaret Baxter of Blair, and Mrs. Edith Grobe of Omaha; three brothers, Arthur Johns of Monterey Park, Calif., Perry Johns of DeWitt and Ralph Johns of Port Orchard, Wis., and 16 grandchildren.

The Reckmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MEMORIAL FOR MRS. FLOYD LOFTIS DEDICATED SUNDAY

At the Sunday morning service of the Congregational Church, Rev. Robert Krause gave a dedicatory service for the beautiful baptismal Font and three flower stands presented to the church by Floyd Loftis and family in loving memory of Mrs. Florence Loftis. The five children of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Loftis and their families were all present at the dedication ceremony.

Those present were Rev. and Mrs. Marlon Loftis and family of Plainview; Rev. and Mrs. Eugene Loftis and family of Stanton; Mrs. Roy Trotter and daughters of Osceola; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hass and family of Snyder; Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Schmidt and family of Arlington. There are 18 grandchildren, one of which was unable to be present on account of illness. Mr. Loftis served a turkey dinner to his family at his home after the service.
