FORMER BLAIR WOMAN PASSES

Dr. and Mrs. R. J. Murdoch received word Wednesday morning of the death of Mrs. Murdoch’s sister, Mrs. Gunnar Wingard of Tacoma, Washington which occurred Tuesday night following an illness of about a week’s duration.

Josephine Palmer was born in Blair, one of a family of three daughters, Mrs. George Williams of Kingsville, Texas being the oldest, the deceased, the second born and Mrs. R. J. Murdoch being the youngest. Their parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Palmer were early settlers in this city where for years the father held a lucrative practice.

Deceased left Blair about 1907, going to Montana where she was engaged in teaching and where she met and married Gunnar Wingard. Later they moved to Tacoma, Washington where they have made their home for the past fourteen years. To Mr. and Mrs. Wingard three children were born, two girls and one boy, the youngest child being now eighteen years of age.

Blair residents of those yesteryears will well remember the deceased as a young woman of pleasing personal appearance, bright and intelligent, and a general favorite wherever she went, and will grieve to learn of her death coming at the early age of fifty four years.

Mrs. Wingard had been an invalid for some time, but the immediate cause of her death is reported to be an attack of pneumonia which she was unable to withstand.
