MRS. N.T. LUND DIED MONDAY

Mrs. N.T. Lund, 87, died suddenly at her home on Dana Hill last Monday. She had been ill but a short time.

Mrs. Lund was born October 15, 1878 in a sod house on a farm about three miles north of Hampton, Nebraska. Her family lived in the sod house until she was six years old when they moved into a frame house which they had built. This was her home until her wedding August 12, 1903 when she was married to Nicholas Thomsen Lund.

Mr. and Mrs. Lund resided a year at Racine, Wisconsin and then lived a year in Des Moines. They moved to Blair in the summer of 1905 and in 1906 they moved to Dana Hill. The family home at Dana has served the Lunds continuously since 1906.

Mr. Lund, a teacher, county superintendent and later, a real estate and insurance broker, died November 26, 1959. Mrs. Lund is survived by two sons and five daughters.

The sons are Russell Lund, of Harlan, Iowa and Ray Lund, who lived at home in Blair, The daughters are Una Lund, Los Angeles; Dorothy Lund, San Diego; Lona Lund and Ruth Lund, at home, and Mrs. Norma Van Steenhoven, Of Newark, New Jersey.

Mrs. Lund has two sisters, Miss Amanda Hansen of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair and Mrs. Augusta Nielsen, of Los Angeles. There are four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 P.M at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. George Pa?lesen (illegible) will conduct the serrvice and burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home, will be made in the Blair cemetery.

Pall bearers are Paul V. Hansen, Ingvard Skobo, R.J. Zimmerman, Jr., Arnold Nielsen, Marius Hansen and Lowell Christensen.
