Marie V. Lund, 82, of Fremont died Friday, March 14, 2008, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Marie V. Jensen was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Hooper to Peter and Gladys (Skinner) Jensen. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1943. She married Clifford A. Lund on July 22, 1945, in Hooper. After Clifford returned from the service, they farmed near Arlington from 1947 to 1953. Later, they moved to a farm south of Scribner where they were members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The couple retired in 1989 and moved to Fremont where they were members of Trinity Lutheran Curch. She worked at J.C. Penney for several years and taught Sunday school at St. Peter's Lutheran Chruch and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Clifford; three sons, Gary (and wife Linda) Lund of Norfolk, Dave (and wife, Linda) Lund of Noth Platte and Gregg (and wife Ellen) Lund of Fremont; two brothers, Lester (and wife Lois) Jensen of Fremont and Donald (and wife, Mary Alice) Jensen of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mike Meyer officiating. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends 2-4 p.m., at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
