FORMER ARLINGTON WOMAN DIES AT 72

Mrs. Bridget Agnes Monroe, 72, of Fremont, former Arlington farm woman, died last Wednesday at Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha, where she had been a patient for three months. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Fremont, interment following in Calvary cemetery there.

As Bridget Agnes McMahon, she was born December 21, 1867, in a log cabin on the present site of the Dodge county courthouse. After her marriage to James C. Monroe, the couple resided at Fremont for 20 years, then moved to a farm southwest of Arlington. Mr. Monroe died 20 years ago in an auto accident.

Surviving Mrs. Monroe are four sons, Edward, Joseph, Charles and Francis Monroe; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward and Peter McMahon.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick’s church in Omaha Friday morning, September 6, for Mrs. J. C. Monroe, 72 year old Arlington resident. Mrs. Monroe had died the preceding Wednesday morning at Nicholas Senn hospital where she had been a patient for the past three months.
