FORMER ARLINGTON FARMER DIES IN HOOPER

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday for Herman H. Lollman, 91, of Winslow. He died Monday morning at the Hooper Care Center after a three-month illness.

The son of Edward and Minnie Lallman, he was born Dec. 13, 1888, on a farm north of Arlington and lived there until 1907 when he entered Fremont Normal College.

Several years later he began working in the E.O. Spielburg grocery and general merchandise store in Winslow, and in 1912, he and his brother bought the business. He worked there for 53 years, before retiring in 1965.

He married Ruth Snowdon may 17, 1914, in Blair.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church; Masonic Lodge AF & AM, where he served as the chaplain for 50 years; the Friendship Chapter of the Hooper OES; and he was a past member of the Winslow Village Board and a charter member of the Winslow Fire Department.

Survivors include wife; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Heller of Denver, Colo.; one son, Clyde of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Lallman of Hooper.

Services will be at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Alex Wacker officiating. Visitation will be at the Warne Funeral Home, Hooper, 1 – 9 p.m. Wednesday, and at the church Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Hooper Cemetery.
