Word was received here this morning from Omaha that Chas. O’Hanlon had died at about ten o’clock. At nine o’clock a message was received that he would be taken to a hospital to be operated on for appendicitis and his death was entirely unexpected. Mr. O’Hanlon was 30 years old, was married to Miss Lou Henderson on Christmas day 1903. For the past two years he has been working in the U.P. shops.

He leaves to mourn his loss four sisters and six brothers besides his wife and little girl, Hazel, who was a year old on March 20. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends and acquaintances in their sudden affliction and sad bereavement. The funeral will be held at the home of J.W. Henderson in Blair, Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

#2-12 Apr., 1905 - Blair Courier - Charles O’Hanlon

Chas. O’Hanlon died at his home in Omaha last Wednesday morning from an attack of appendicitis after an illness of but four day’s duration. The body was brought up here Thursday and the funeral service held at the home of Mrs. O’Hanlon’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Henderson. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Mr. O’Hanlon was about 27 years of age and was married to Miss Louella Henderson on Christmas day, 1902. They had one little girl about a year old. Mr. O’Hanlon had a good position in the U.P. shops and was considered a good workman and an exemplary young man. He was a brother of Atty. Clark O’Hanlon of this city.
