Mr. Lamp was born on July 16, 1910 in rural Blair, Nebraska to Charles and Elizabeth Goedeker Lamp. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Benson, Nebraska, and was baptized and confirmed there in October of 1936. He married Dorothy Labs of Bennington, Nebraska on September 23, 1936. They farmed near Irvington, Nebraska, and, in 1950, moved to their farm south of Blair, Nebraska, where they ran a dairy operation.

He retired from the farm in 1975 and moved to Blair. In later years he was in the grain hauling business. He was in failing health since the spring of 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one sister, Margaret Hadan of rural Omaha; one brother, Walter Lamp of Omaha; sister-in-law, Hazel; and two nieces and two nephews.

The family extends an invitation to join them in the fellowship hall following committal services.
