In 1901 the Olsens moved into Herman, and for 25 years Mr. Olsen was employed by the Crowell Lumber and Grain Company. He later served two years with the produce firm of Olsen and Lowe. For several years Mr. Olsen had been retired.

Surviving him are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. A.H. Lowe of Herman, Mrs. Nellie Hoover of Battle Creek, Nebraska, Mrs. Regina Hughes and Mrs. Madeline Hannon of Washington, D.C.
