Services were Monday, February 5, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington for Adolph L. Herring, 78 of Overland Park, Kansas, who died January 31, 1990 at his home. Rev. Roland Boehnke and Rev. Michael Rogers officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Winslow.

Adolph L. Herring was born May 7, 1911 in Evanston, Indiana and Lived in Arlington from 1930-1961. He then moved to the Kansas City area where he was a maintenance engineer for the Johnson County Library until 1977 when he retired. He then worked a s a self-employed carpenter and electrician.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, Kansas and served on the ushering staff there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Wittmann Herring.

Survivors include a sister, Sarah Herring of Overland Park.

Pallbearers were Elmer Krohn, Arthur Wittmann, LaVerne Busch, Walter Hoegermeyer, Rudolph Fuchs, Floyd Hilgenkamp and Herold Krohn.

A memorial has been established to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, Kansas.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
