Fred W. Heuerman, 78, of Arlington, died Saturday morning May 18, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. Heuerman was a retired farmer.

He was born October 15, 1906 in rural Arlington. He lived most of his life in the Arlington area.

Mr. Heuerman farmed for 15 years near Mead. He retired in 1979 and moved back to Arlington.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Wahoo and was a life member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department.

He married Pauline A. Hannan of February 11, 1939, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Fredrick of Fremont, Donald of Arlington and Richard of Elkhorn; two daughters, Mrs. Rollie (Mary Kay) Sutton of Bentonville, Arkansas and Mrs. Robert (Darleen) Ladehoff of Fremont; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Schmidt of Fremont, Mrs. Park (Emma) Smith of Omaha, Lottie Marshall of Arlington and Mrs. Ted (Lucille) Mefford of Anaheim, California; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Charles Swanson officiated.

Visitation was at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be given to the Arlington Library or the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department.

Pallbearers were Jim Marshall, Monnie Peterson, Jim Wilkening, Roscoe Osterman, Robert Hannan and Pat Hannan.
