GENE LAURITSEN, 44, 1/7/53 – 3/3/97
Gene Harvey Lauritsen, 44, of Effingham, Ill., died March 3, 1997 in Urbana, Ill.
Services were Friday at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Lauritsen was born Jan. 7, 1953 in Omaha to Harvey and Marion Lauritsen. He grew up in Fort Calhoun, graduated from Fort Calhoun High School and attended Dana College, receiving a business administration degree. He married Jane Meyer Sept. 6, 1980 in Effingham, Ill. He worked in the mental health area.
He was raised in the Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; his mother, Marion Tucker, West Hills, Calif.; his grandmother, Willa Mae McNair and a sister, Lois McCuen, both of Fort Calhoun.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey.
