MRS. MINNIE OLSON DEAD

LIFETIME COUNTIAN, 70, STRICKEN SATURDAY -- DIED EARLY MONDAY

Mrs. Minnie Olson, 70, a lifetime resident of Washington County, died early Monday at Blair Hospital.

Mrs. Olson, who had been helping take care of Miss Josephine Johnson in Blair, suffered a stroke Saturday and was taken to Blair Hospital.

Funeral services were held at First Methodist Church here yesterday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Homer L. Dickerson officiating. Burial, with arrangements in charge of the Campbell Mortuary, was in Thone Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Hineline, Clarence Maxwell, Harry Nelson, Peter Hagge, Howard Widener and Elmer Thone.

Born June 4, 1881, Mrs. Olson was married to Joseph Olson Febr. 16, 1897, and they resided on the Old Olson farmstead in the Glendale School district for many years, where Mr. Olson died in September, 1938.

To the couple were born four children, three of whom preceded the mother in death.

Mrs. Olson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Alback (Bessie) of Herman; three grandchildren, Ethel Mae Miller of Herman, who was raised from infancy by her grandmother, also Lyle Alback, of Herman, and Mrs. Mildred Divoll of Blair; and by four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. May Burton of Blair and Mrs. Gertie Shreve of Sioux City and a brother, Samuel Ommerman of Denver.
