Funeral Service 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 1987 St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, Nebraska. Officiating: Pastor Dennis Maaske; Organist and Choir Director: Mr. Dennis Godeman. The Church Choir will sing: “How Great Thou Art”. The Funeral Congregation will sing: Hymn #509 “Amazing Grace”; Hymn #513 “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me”

Pallbearers: George Bluma, Dale Sagehorn, Stan Vachal, David Sagehorn; Harold Meierhenry; Keith Meier

EDWARD W. STORK

Edward William Stork was born April 21, 1906 in rural Arlington, Nebraska. He was the son of William and Louise (Kroger) Stork. He was united in Holy Matrimony with Charlotte Fuchs on August 14, 1932 at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow.

Edward lived in the Arlington area all his life, and farmed east of Telbasta. He moved into Arlington in 1977. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Layman’s League. He served on the church finance committee and was St. Paul’s Cemetery Superintendent for four years. He also served for many years on the Johnson School Board in rural Washington County.

Edward passed from this life on Thursday, June 18, 1987 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 27 days. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Charles E. (Chuck) Stork of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and LeRoy Stork of Winslow; two daughters, Mrs. Frans (Ruth E.) Doelman of Tacoma, Washington and Eva Stork of Greenfield, Wisconsin; three brothers, Herbert, Leonard and Walter Stork all of Arlington; ten grandchildren, two foster grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Eunice Stork and a great-grandchild, Lee Stork.

Edward Stork

Edward W. Stork, 81, a retired farmer from Arlington, died Thursday, June 18, 1987 at Dodge County Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

He was born April 21, 1906, in rural Arlington, where he farmed all his life just east of Telbasta.

Stork moved to Arlington in 1977.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, a member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League, he served on the church finance committee and was St. Paul’s Cemetery Superintendent for four years and served many years on the Johnson School Board in rural Washington county.

On August 14, 1932, he married Charlotte Fuchs at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow.

She survives, as do two sons, Charles (Chuck) E. Stork of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and LeRoy Stork of Winslow; two daughters, Mrs. Frans (Ruth E. ) Doelman of Tacoma, Washington, and Eva Stork of Greenfield, Wisconsin; three brothers, Herbert Stork, Leonard Stork and Walter Stork, all of Arlington; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 foster grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Louise (Kroeger) Stork, and a daughter, Eunice Stork, and one great-grandchild, Lee Stork.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington.

Pastor Dennis Maaske will officiate the services. Organist and choir director will be Dennis Godeman.

Pallbearers will be George Bluma, Stan Vachal, Harold Meierhenry, Dale Sagehorn, David Sagehorn and Keith Meier.

Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington handled arrangements.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
