The funeral of Mrs. Jens Lund was held at the Danish Lutheran Church, Tuesday, Nov. 27th, at 2:00 o’clock and was in charge of Rev. Shultz assisted by Rev. Land, who preached the English sermon.

Johanna Marie Rasmussen was born in Denmark Sept. 15, 1852 and was married to Jens Lund March 12, 1883. The young couple came to America the same year and Blair has been their home for thirty-four years. Two children came to bless their union one daughter, Mrs. Frank Pike, of Kansas, who was with her father at the time of their bereavement and one son, Nels Rasmus, who passed away six months ago at his home in North Dakota. Since the death of her son, Mrs. Lund’s health failed rapidly and her demise followed an operation performed last week at the local hospital. Mrs. Lund was a good neighbor and mother and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.>p> ~~~Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
