MRS. LARSEN DIES ON VISIT

KENNARD WOMAN, 63, DIES WHILE VISITING HER SON AT FREMONT

Stricken suddenly ill while visiting her son Leonard in Fremont, 63-year-old Mrs. Mary K. Larsen of Kennard died Friday night. The Kennard woman, widow of Lars Larsen, had gone to her son’s home Sunday, April 25.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. The Rev. P.L. Thorslev officiated, and burial was in Kennard Cemetery.

Mary Kirsten Hansen was born May 10, 1885, at Millard. Later the family moved to Orum, where she remained until her marriage to Mr. Larsen June 26, 1907. The couple farmed near Kennard for many years, then retired and moved to Fremont, where Mr. Larsen died Dec. 6, 1944. Mrs. Larsen then moved back to Kennard.

Surviving Mrs. Larsen are two sons, Leonard M. Larsen of Fremont and Earl H. Larsen of Kennard; a brother, Rasmus Hansen of Orum; a sister, Mrs. John X. Hansen of Herman; and seven grandchildren.

MRS. MARY LARSEN RITES TUESDAY

Mrs. Mary Larsen of Kennard passed away on April 30th at the home of her son, Leonard Larsen of Fremont. Funeral rites were held in the Kennard Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. P. L. Thorslev officiating, and interment under the auspices of the Bendorf Funeral Home was made in the Kennard cemetery.

Mrs. Larsen was born in Millard, Nebr. on May 10, 1884, and on June 26, 1907 she was married to Lars Larsen. Two sons are living, Earl of Kennard and Leonard of Fremont. The husband died in December of 1944.

Besides the two sons, she leaves seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. John Hansen of Herman and a brother, Rasmus Hansen of Orum.
