Harry E. Lund, 96, of Fort Calhoun, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003 at Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m.Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wenenesday, at the church.

Harry Ever Lund was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Irvington to Ever and Johanna (Thompson) Lund.

He had lived in the Greene Valley school district, where he farmed, raised dairy cattle, and managed an egg business. He had retired in 1969, and moved to Fort Calhoun.

On Sept. 5, 1931, he married Bernice Huber at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha.

Mr. Lund was a member of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, was a life member of the Washington County Historical Association, was a life member of the Blair Memorial Community Hospital, and was a member of the Solomon Lodge No. 10 AF & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; and a sister, Ella Robinson of Sweet Home, Ore.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, LeRoy and Lyman; and two sisters-in-law, Vernetta Lund and Ann Huber.

In lieu of traditional rememberances, the family requests memorials to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, the Fort Calhoun RescueS quad, or the American Heart Association.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.

VISITATION Wed. 10-11 am, FUNERAL SERVICE 11 am all at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment Fort Calhoun Cemetery. In lieu of traditonal remembrances, memorials may be given to Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church or Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad or American Heart Association.
