Published in Enterprise on 30 March 2007 Lilly M. Lund died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Elkhorn.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yutan. Interment will be in the Hollst Lawn Cemetery in Yutan.

Lilly Mae Scott was born on Oct. 19, 1930 in McPaul, Iowa, the eldest of 13 children of Lawrence and Mabelle (Shepperson) Scott.

She grew up and attended grade school in Mc Paul and Carroll, Iowa, before attending Omaha Technical High School for two years and graduating from Fort Calhoun High School in 1948.

As a young girl, she participated in school plays and basketball, but most of her time was spent helping with the household chores and her younger siblings.

She married Glenn Lund on Feb. 19, 1949, in Omaha. They raised their family in Fort Calhoun, eight years on the farm and 13 years in town before moving to Millard for four years before finally moving to Yutan in 1974.

Mrs. Lund had worked at Mutual of Omaha, the Midway Cafe in Fort Calhoun, Sears & Roebuck, Pioneer Grocery in Fort Calhoun, Welcome Wagon in Omaha and Cubby's in Yutan. She enjoyed sewing, dressmaking and cooking. Mr. and Mrs. Lund attended dances and traveled extensively. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, the local Extension Club and Eastern Star Chapter No. 121 in Fort Calhoun.She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and was especially pleased to hold her newest great-granddaughter just recently in the care center. She was known as "Monger" to her grandchildren and great-grandchldren and will always be remembered for providing each of them with their own personal shopping day and lunch on their birthday.

She is survived by husband, Glenn; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn, Jr. and Ruth Ann of Yutan; daugher and son-in-law, Lynn and Ron Hapke of Yutan; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Robert of Texas, Carl of Modale,Iowa, Lawrence, Jr. of Blair, Joe of Omaha, Cecil of Fort Calhoun, Greg of Forrestdale, Mass., and Rex of Valley; and three sisters, Sharen Haynes and Kay Weidt, both of Onawa, Iowa, and Sue Metzler of Verdigre; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary and James.

Reichmuth Funeral Home in Yutan is in charge of arrangements.
