GLENN A. LUNDSTROM, 79 (veteran)

Services were Wednesday, June 26 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Omaha and then at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grand Island for Glenn A. Lundstrom, 79 of Omaha who died June 23, 1991 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Revs. James Frerichs and Greg Berger officiated. Burial was in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Glenn Lundstrom was born April 4, 1912 in Ceresco. He grew up there and graduated from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. He received his master’s degree and doctorate in education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

He was an educator for 40 years in Nebraska. He was a principal in Bruning. He was superintendent in Blair from 1952-57. He was also superintendent in Carleton, North Bend, Hebron, Beatrice and Grand Island.

He served with the United States Navy in World War II in the Southwest Pacific.

He married Dorothy Kusel in 1938. She preceded him in death. He married Marjorie Eliason. She survives.

He was also preceded in death by a brother.

Survivors also include a son, Tom of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Mary Hoover of Grand Island and Doris Jones of Omaha; two brothers, Cy and Stan, both of Fremont; a step-daughter, Marjorie Brown of Wisconsin; a step-son, Charles Eliason of Yutan and eight grandchildren.

Boyd E. Braman Funeral Home in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
