Jean Marie Holderness, age 82 of Blair, died Saturday October 22, 2016, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair surrounded by her family.

Jean was born March 2, 1934, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Emil and Mearl Yecha. Jean grew up in Omaha, Nebraska with her brother, Wes Yecha.

She worked at Mutual of Omaha where she met and married Robert Holderness in July of 1954. The couple settled in Blair and had two children, Bernadine and LeAnn.

Jean loved to quilt, cook, sew, go to garage sales, play cards, garden, camp and do any activity involving her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Bernadine Harper; parents, Emil and Mearl Yecha; brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Donna Yecha; and son-in-law, Merle Meyer.

She is survived by her daughter, LeAnn Meyer, of Herman, Nebraska; grandson, Robert Harper, of Blair; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jenna, Zach and Jessie; grandson, Kyle (Janice) Harper, of Blair; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Ellie; granddaughter, Tonia Harper, of Blair; granddaughter, Jade.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25 beginning at 5:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
