Susan Mary (Jones) Hamilton of Grove, OK passed away on October 18th, 2016, at Freeman Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1945.

Sue graduated from Duchesne College and started her career as a teacher at Hartman Elementary School in Omaha, NE. She was a stay-at-home mom and babysitter for many years before returning to teaching in Fort Calhoun, NE. Sue and her husband retired to Grove, OK in 2004. She loved spending time with family and friends on the river in Fort Calhoun and their home on Grand Lake. She touched many lives with her kind and generous heart while trying to teach everyone her practice of not sweating the small stuff.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Hamilton, of Grove, OK; daughter, Deb (Todd) Lewis, of Omaha, NE; son, Tim (Deb) Hamilton, of Omaha, NE; daughter, Lori (Shawn) Dixon, of Haslet, TX; son, John (Michele) Hamilton, of Phenix City, AL; as well as nine grandchildren she adored. Also surviving are her loving sisters, Betty "BJ" Jones, Linda Day, Kathy Jensen, Dian Jones, and brother, Larry Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Faye Jones; and brothers, Albert "Bud" Jones and Jim Jones.

Memorial donations may be made to Pioneers for Education, 5876 Co Rd P43, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023 or the Grove Humane Society, 64301 E. 290 Rd, Grove OK 74344.

A celebration of life will be held in Fort Calhoun, NE at the American Legion Social Hall on Saturday, November 5th from 11 am - 5 pm.
