ERNA W. LOGEMAN, 96

Erna W. Logeman, 96, of Bennington, died March 28, 2004, at the Life Care Center of Elkhorn.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Zion Lutheran Church in Omaha. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Omaha.

Erna Wilhelmina Sophia Logeman was born Jan. 3, 1908, in Benson to John and Frieda (Pruess) Logeman. She grew up on the family farm south of Bennington and attended the country school that was on the corner of her family’s farm. Her early years were filled with the usual activities of farm life.

She was baptized on May 10, 1908 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington and was confirmed on April 9, 1922 at Zion Lutheran Church.

She moved to a farm on Center Street, where she lived with her brother, George. In the early 1980s, they moved to 6809 N. 144th Street. She enjoyed her flower garden and genealogy.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Arlene Logeman of Bennnington, and sister, Helen Logeman of Omaha, as well as nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, George and John and a sister, Lillie.

Hadan-Godlen-Reichmuth Funeral Home in Bennington is in charge of arrangements.
