Funeral services for Eleanor Hill, 75, of Blair, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Country Bible Church in rural Blair. Interment will be in the Telbasta Cemetery. Mrs. Hill died Saturday, Feb. 23, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Eleanor Elene Hill was born May 29, 1926, in Genoa to Dan and Clara (Ahrends ) Weldon. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1943.

On Nov. 13, 1943, she married Arnold Hill in Schuyler. The couple have resided in Blair since 1946.

For 18 years, Mrs. Hill was a manager for Northwestern Bell. She retired in 1987.

She was a member of Country Bible Church, where she taught Stone Croft Bible Studies. She also attended Bible Study Fellowship in Fremont and Texas. From 1987 until 1993, she served as an English tutor in the winter in Corpus Christi, Texas, and from 1993 in Weslaco, Texas.

She enjoyed sewing and doing calligraphy verses that she framed.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold, two sons and a daugher-in-law, Clyde and Jan Hill of Omaha, and Bob Hill of Blair, two daughters and a son-in-law, Becky and Gary Kruger of Herman, and Cathy Hill of Blair, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Wilma Bailey of Canton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Barbara, and four brothers.

Memorials are suggested to Country Bible Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
