ALICE LONG

Services for longtime Herman resident, Alice E. Long, 89, who died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1985, at the Immanuel Fontenelle Home in Omaha, will be Wednesday, Nov. 27, 9:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Fontenelle Chapel at 6901 North 72nd Street in Omaha. Chaplain Merton Fish will officiate and burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Mrs. Long was born Jan. 6, 1896, the daughter of Claude and Gertrude Reid of Fontanelle. She married Louis “Ike” Long and was a housewife.

She was a member of the Herman Chapter Nol 216 of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary No. 274.

Survivors include one sister, Marion Sherwood of Omaha; and four nieces, Janet Andrews of Omaha, Bobbie Jorgensen of Omaha; Marjorie Fenton of Neosho, Missouri; and Karlene Pederson of Herman.

She is preceded in death by her husband. Roeder Mortuary of Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
