Lillian E. Schafer, age 96, of Omaha died October 29, 2016. She was born June 17, 1920, in Schererville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Schafer.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Flere of Omaha, Joan (Chuck) McCabe of Palm Desert, CA; sons, Dave (Jan) Schafer of Highlands Ranch, CO, Steve (Patti) Schafer of Omaha, Mark (Deb) Schafer of Belize; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral Mass at 10 am Saturday, November 5, 2016, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun, NE.

No visitation, and interment will be private, provided by Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home of Fort Calhoun, NE.

Memorials may be sent to Ft. Calhoun Fire and Rescue.
