Harold Hibbs Died Friday

Harold Hibbs, 54 years of age, of 1153 Colfax Street died Friday evening at Memorial Community Hospital.

Mr. Hibbs is survived by his wife, Alice; sons Larue of Omaha and Larry of Blair; five grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Bella Hibbs; sister, Miss Lillian Hibbs and a brother Arthur Hibbs all of O’Neill, Nebraska and a brother, Lowell Hibbs of Wilder, Idaho.

The Bendorf Funeral Home reports that services have been tentatively set for Monday, July 18th. A complete obituary will appear in the Enterprise.

Harold Hibbs, 54, Buried Monday

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mr. Harold Hibbs, who passed away at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital on Friday evening, July 15th. He had been ill since last January.

Mr. Hibbs was born at Palmyra, Nebraska on April 16, 1912 and was 54 years of age at the time of his death. He was married to Alice Williby on March 23, 1935 at Sioux City. They lived near Page, Nebraska for five years and also five years at Royal, Nebraska before moving to Blair. Mr. Hibbs was employed by the State Highway department for 20 years.

Survivors are his wife, Alice; two sons, Larue of Omaha, and Larry of Blair; five grandchildren; Mrs. Bella Hibbs, his mother; a sister, Miss Lillian Hibbs, and a brother Arthur Hibbs, all of O’Neil, Nebraska; and a brother, Lowell Hibbs, of Wilder, Idaho.

The Rev. Richard Atherton officiated at the services at the Methodist Church on July 18th. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Paulsen, Donald Sorensen, Larry Dennis, Clarence Maxwell, Arthur Jipp and Gunner Knudsen.
