Anita “Ann” Higgins, 85, of Blair died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in Blair.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Country Bible Church in Blair. A private interment will follow at a later date in Uniondale, N.Y.

Anita Wyss was born Oct. 8, 1922, in New York, N.Y., to Erma and Jules Wyss.

She married J. David Higgins Jr. on Jan. 4, 1941.

Mrs. Higgins was a multi-lithograph operator and a housewife.

She was a member of County Bible Church in Blair, The Silver Cords, Christian Woman’s Club, and Home Bible Study.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Arlene and Al Latwaitis, of Blair, and J. David and Ceil Higgins of Colorado; grandchildren, Ted and Candy Latwaitis, and Holly Latwaitis and Tim Smith, all of Blair; Tim and Michele Higgins, and Mike and Valerie Higgins, all of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Hope and DJ Latwaitis, and Alita Smith, all of Blair; and Lauren, Alyssa, Courtney Riley, and Jack Higgins of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, who has been waiting for her since 1969 at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale for eternal life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to County Bible Church in Blair.
