Arthur W. Hilgenkamp was born on January 1, 1899 on a farm four miles north of Arlington. He was the son of John and Mary Kuhl Hilgenkamp.

On August 31, 1927 he was joined in Holy Matrimony with Esther C. Echtenkamp at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He spent his entire life in the Arlington community.

He passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 1974 at the Fremont Care Center. His is survived by his wife, Esther, one son, Rupert of Arlington, one brother, Walter, of Fremont and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, 2 infant daughters, brothers William and Henry, 2 infant brothers, a sister, Mrs. Emma Stork and one infant sister.

Hilgenkamp Services Held On Sunday

Services for 75 year old Arthur W. Hilgenkamp were held Sunday, June 2, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Mr. Hilgenkamp passed away on Thursday, May 30th at the Fremont Care Center.

The 2:00 p.m. Sunday services were conducted by Reverend Donald Gesterling with the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hilgenkamp was born on January 1, 1899 on a farm 4 miles north of Arlington. He farmed for many years before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Esther, who still lives in Arlington. Arthur Hilgenkamp and Esther C. Echtenkamp were married on August 31, 1927 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Mr. Hilgenkamp is also survived by a son Rupert of Arlington, a brother Walter of Fremont and four grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers were Robert Hilgenkamp, Elmer Stork, Warren Hammang, Harry Stork, Leonard Kucera, and LaVerne Busch.
